Inspired by Captain Bill Grant Smith, great-grandson of The Glenlivet's founder, George Smith, The Glenlivet Captain's Reserve combines the flavours of Speyside in Scotland with those of the Charente. It is aged in a combination of bourbon and sherry barrels of first filling before being matured in old Cognac casks.

The Glenlivet Captain's Reserve
TASTING NOTES:
- Color: The color is a deep rich amber color.
- Aroma: The nose, there are floral aromas and fruit typical of Glenlivet, with a distinctive note of honey, dried raisins and a little apricot jam and peach. There is a creamy, waxy quality reminiscent of furniture wax, along with notes of cinnamon and a little apple in the oven.
- Taste: The palate is creamy whiskey. Raisins note is pronounced. There are also flavors of apples and pears cooked, a little citrus zest, along with a little anise and some milk chocolate. There is a pronounced spicy at the beginning, it quickly fades.

PRODUCTION DETAILS: This Scottish whiskey malt maturing after 3 years in barrels of bourbon and sherry, it ends in ex cognac barrels for at the least 6 months, creating a unique rich and intense flavor.
