Penderyn Grand Slam Edition 2019 is a single malt Welsh whiskey created to celebrate Wales winning the Rugby Six Nations Grand Slam in 2019. The whisky is a 46% ABV Portwood finish and is a limited release. It comes in the classic Penderyn bottle to match the rest of the series, featuring a description of the final game against Ireland and signatures of the squad, Warren Gatland and the coaching team.
Penderyn Distillery was launched in 2000 as the Welsh Whisky Company. Whisky had been distilled in Wales for hundreds of years but stopped in 1894. Penderyn became the first whisky to be manufactured in Wales for over a century when sales started in 2004. It remains the only whisky currently produced in Wales.
