From Johnnie Walker's Ghost & Rare series comes this fine whisky blend manufactured in Port Ellen - a ‘ghost' distillery that shut its doors in 1983. The whisky itself is a blend of whiskies from the closed distilleries of Carsebridge and Caledonian, and rare malts from Mortlach, Dailuaine, Cragganmore, Blair Athol and Oban.
With Johnnie Walker's characteristic signature of elegance and sophistication, this blended Scotch is the second in a series that aims to reunite the spirit of lost distilleries and ancient and rare malts. Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Port Ellen brings out all the character buried in the heart of Port Ellen, on the Isle Islay, and thus became one of the most sought-after sources of single malt in the world.
The vanilla cream and salted butter notes on the nose, along with the smoky flavour and long and ashy aftertaste make this an exquisite liquor, perfect to be enjoyed by itself with pleasant conversation in the finest company.
