Description of Jack Daniel's Master Distiller Series No.3 1L

Jack Daniel's Master Distiller Series No.3 1L

TASTING NOTES:

  • Colour: Like most Jack Daniel's products, this has a nice honey amber colouring.
  • Aroma: On the nose, oak spices, nuttiness, and smoke scents stand out the most. Even with all of these powerful aromas, the scent is still light and somewhat sweet.
  • Taste: Just like in the scent, the flavours that stand out most come from the drink's oak spices. Sweeter flavours of cream, banana, and caramel help to balance the drink. Overall, this whiskey has a sweet and spicy finish.

PRODUCER: In 1863, Jasper Newton Daniel, better known as Jack Daniel, created the recipe for his No. 7 whiskey. However, it wasn't until 1866 that he opened his own distillery. Other than pausing production during the American Prohibition around the 1920s, the Jack Daniel's distillery has been open since the 1860's, making it the oldest American whiskey distillery still producing alcohol today.

COUNTRY: USA.

PRODUCTION DETAILS: All of Jack Daniel's whiskeys are made in a similar way. Fresh Tennesee spring water is mixed with a combination of corn, rye, and barley. These are distilled and filtered through ten feet of charcoal to get a crisp beverage. Finally, the whiskey is aged in American oak barrels for years on end before being bottled.
