Jack Daniel's Gold Nº 27

  • Colour: Jack Daniel's Gold Nº 27 has a warm burnished gold appearance.
  • Aroma: The creamy and luxurious nose is rather soft and gentle, with notes of plum, rum and raisin, spice, tobacco, and walnuts.
  • Taste: A gorgeously rich flavour ride of chocolate, creamed honey, malt, maple, oak, spice, and vanilla is somehow still refined and as smooth as silk into the long, warm finish.

PRODUCER: The Jack Daniel's Distillery of Lynchburg, Moore County, Tennessee is a subsidiary of Brown-Forman. Despite being the best-selling American whiskey on the planet, nearby residents have to cross county lines to buy it, since Moore is a ‘dry' county. Jack Daniels was the youngest of 10 children, and his grandparents were Welsh and Scottish immigrants to the US.

COUNTRY: United States

PRODUCTION DETAILS: The mash bill for Jack Daniel's Gold Nº 27 is the same as for Jack Daniel's No. 7, but there the similarities end. While both are mellowed through maple charcoal, then rest for at least two years in virgin American white oak barrels, Jack Daniel's Gold Nº 27 is maple-mellowed a second time after being recasked in hand-chosen charred maple barrels. This special treatment adds incredible and unique character to an already finely crafted tipple. Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to truly appreciate its maple-kissed complexity.
