PRODUCER: Suntory Hakushu. Keizo Saji 1973 Hakushu founded the distillery to mark the 50th anniversary of the production of Japanese whiskey and portfolio diversification malt Suntory. The distillery is located in the Toribara zone (also known as Torihara) in the ancient city Hakushu in the foothills of Mount Kaikomagatake in the Alps in southern Japan. Saji was looking all over the country for high quality water for the production of exceptional whiskeys and "Hakushu" found one of the most famous regions of the country waters, where flowing, clear fresh water through a pristine forest.
PRODUCTION DETAILS: The malts are born in the majestic forest around the Hakushu distillery, which offers a rich variety of plants and a special microclimate. Hakushu clear groundwater is soft, has a distinct flavor and contains filtering through rain and snow through ancient granite rocks a wonderful amount of minerals. In the fermentation process only high quality woods are used for the heat stored optimally. Both distillation and aging here are different sizes of fixed and drums used to develop the special characteristics of whiskey images.
Suntory is a Japanese brewery and distillery. Founded in 1899 Suntory started as a shop selling imported wines. In 1924 Japan's first distillery -Destilería Yamazaki- starts producing malt whiskey. Five years later, first sold in Japan Suntory Whiskey whiskey Shirofuda (White Label) being the first Japanese whiskey domestic production.
