The House of Suntory was founded in 1899 with only one singular goal in mind. That goal was to create Japanese spirits that were matched to the particular palates of the Japanese people. In 1923, this goal was amplified to include whisky. Shinjiro Torii, the company's founder, wanted to create a subtle, yet complex whisky on Japanese soil and with a Japanese approach. This is how Japanese whisky came to be born in Yamazaki, in the outskirts of Kyoto.
Hakushu is a 12-year-old single malt whisky which comes from the Southern Japanese Alps. This fresh, green whisky is distilled in a forest distillery within Mt. Kaikomagatake. The slight notes of peat and smoke make this a unique and vibrant spirit. Made from malted barley that is mixed with naturally soft and pure water from local rivers, the ageing in the middle of a forest allows for a herbal fruitiness to enter the slumbering whisky.

- Color: Hakushu Distillery Hakushu 12 Years is whiskey
- Nose : Nose : Light and grassy and a little rocky to start. The nose is light and fresh with fresh notes of freshly cut hay and sugary fruit notes , hints of hazelnut and malt barley .
- Mouth: Pure and very clean palate . Sweet fruit , lime green and then a touch of smoke and a sweet buttery meadow / note chamomile. ↵ ↵ Finish: honey , lemon and some ginger . The palate is fresh and clean, with notes of fruit , barley malt and soft smoky notes . Interesting floral character with citrus zest . The finish is sweet and spicy.

Suntory is a Japanese brewery and distillery. Founded in 1899 Suntory started as a shop selling imported wines. In 1924 Japan's first distillery -Destilería Yamazaki- starts producing malt whiskey. Five years later, first sold in Japan Suntory Whiskey whiskey Shirofuda (White Label) being the first Japanese whiskey domestic production.
