You will like to know that…
In 1887, a man named William Grant managed to make a lifelong dream come true. With the help of his children, he built a distillery by hand, giving it the name Glenfiddich. This name, in Gaelic, means "Valley of the Deer". While they were labouring over each stone and each drop of whisky, did the family know that their hard work would endure for more than a century?
Unique copper skills, on-site barrel cooperage, high-quality barley, and Robbie Dhu spring water are the magic pieces that, when added together by the experts at Glenfiddich, result in an award-winning brand. Glenfiddich 12-Year-Old is one of the fine whiskies on offer from the brand. This Speyside single malt Scotch whisky is left to mature in American and European oak casks for 12 long years, allowing the flavours to meld and deepen into a sweet and subtle product that has been winning hearts and awards since 1887.
This distinct whisky is beautifully fresh and fragrant. Full of the character and sweetness you would expect from a spirit of the calibre, Glenfiddich 12-Year-Old is an excellent introduction to the Glenfiddich range. Try it on its own, either neat, on the rocks, or with a splash of water to let the hidden flavours come into the open.

PRODUCER: Glenfiddich, which means ‘the valley of the deer', founded by William Grant. The original, handbuilt Glenfiddich distillery took herculean efforts by William and his family, and was completed in 1887, their dream to create ‘the best dram in the valley'. Five generations later, the same family works to ensure that the quality of their whiskies keeps that dream alive. The distillery still emits earthy aromas, with traditional tall copper tuns and old stone walls, but Glenfiddich is now the most-awarded single malt on the globe. The founder would no doubt be astonished and delighted.
PRODUCTION DETAILS: Crystal clear water from a local spring called the Robbie Dhu is used by the distillery as it always has been, ensuring that its single malt retains its longstanding character. Lengthy maturation in American bourbon casks and European sherry oak casks lends Glenfiddich 12 Year old 1L its complex, rounded flavours of fresh pear and subtle oak.
