Elaboration of Feckin Irish Whiskey
Feckin Irish Whiskey
TASTING NOTES:
- Colour: Feckin Irish Whiskey is a light golden amber hue.
- Aroma: Soft, subtly sweet and oaky scents, with caramel and vanilla notes.
- Taste: Fresh, young, and smooth, easy-drinking and balanced, with a honeyed vanilla popcorn savour and a warm finish.
PRODUCER: Echlinville Distillery in County Down became the first new distillery in Northern Ireland for over 125 years when it obtained a license and casked its first batch in the summer of 2013. In addition to whiskies, it produces gin, poitin, and vodka, and continues to expand. From cultivation to harvest; from floor malting its barley to mash and fermentation; from distilling to maturation; from hand-bottling to labelling, every step in crafting its fine modern products is carried out with care by local people at its farm distillery on the Ards Peninsula.
COUNTRY: United Kingdom.
PRODUCTION DETAILS: This blend of malt and grain whiskeys was the brainchild of County Down man Shane Braniff, who launched it in 2005, and relaunched it when he became Managing Director at Echlinville Distillery. Triple-distilled and trickle-distilled using state-of-the-art equipment using ingredients taken from a unique topography with rich soil, salty sea air, and a temperate climate, Feckin Irish Whiskey is feckin great for sippin and mixin.
ALCOHOL: 40%
- Smooth and sensual, served neat or on the rocks it is and it is also the ideal - and cheeky - choice for mixers and cocktails.
- A delicate balance of fruity sweetness with a hint of dryness and soft oaky notes characterise this whiskey. A whiskey of considerable finesse, which is wonderfully balanced and alternates back and forth between light, fruity and heavier oaky notes. An Irish whiskey with a fine bouquet which seduces with its embroidery of smooth and gentle notes.
