TASTING NOTES OF Craigellachie 13 Year old:

  • Color: straw yellow.
  • Flavour: fresh and youthful aroma, apple, tropical fruit and citrus, soft vanilla, a hint of spice and a touch of smoke.
  • Taste: sweet, fresh, hints of malted barley, apples and tangerine, cinnamon notes, snuff and oak tones of smoke. exceptionally long finish, with fresh notes of citrus and a pleasant bitter tone and very light.

Craigellachie 13 Year old

Craigellachie officially released three whiskies in 2014 and the Craigellachie 13 Year Old Whisky is one of them. With it's beautifully designed bottle, the 13 year old is full of character with rich fruit notes meeting a wonderful smoky backbone. This is an absolute treasure of a whisky.

- Flames, Flared light, Fireworks. Breath in Bonfire nights. Cove studded baked apples. Sulphury cordite.
- Hefty, Malty and Maizy in the mouth. Bonnie sweet, but with fire in its belly.

Craigellachie 13 Años is one of three whiskeys officially presented to the market in 2014 by the Craigellachie distillery. Craigellachie malt whiskey has been aged in barrels of ex-Bourbon. It is a non chillfiltered whiskey has not been treated with very low temperature before bottling. Craigellachie 13 Años tasting note Craigellachie 13 Años is sweet and fresh with hints of malted barley, apples and tangerine.

13 years old, this version Craigellachie 13 years oscillating between maturity and youthful spirit gives malted barley the essential role it right. However, pretty medicinal, fruity and floral give its contours much subtlety, strength and a certain depth of field. A whiskey with a pale yellow color. The nose is fine, precise, net. The malted barley, citrus fruits (lemon), almond paste, cut grass up a cameo both heady and full of freshness. A fine peppery medicinal and accentuates the original character of the nose both mature and yet still imbued with adolescence. The mouth is smoother than the nose suggests, it starts with deploying spices (black pepper, cinnamon, ginger). The mid-palate leaves unfold freely candied fruit and white flowers. His bitterness is invigorating. It extends slowly malted barley and fresh fruit (melon, kiwi). The finish is Ongue, tender. This time it is the spices, specifically ginger and cinnamon, who recall the memory of our taste buds. They are gradually giving way to new fresh fruit (apple, pear), dried (cashews) and heady flowers (lavender, lilac). The palate is malty and tenderly roasted. The empty glass is between the fresh tobacco and malted barley.
