In northeastern Scotland lies Speyside, one of the country's five whisky regions. This area is home to the greatest collection of whisky distilleries in Scotland, thanks to its climate and pure water, both of which are essential to the creation and maturation of whisky. The Speyside region is also very close to the most fertile barley growing areas in the UK, which is important because for any product to labeled as single malt scotch whisky, it must be made of barley.

The Cragganmore Distillery can be found on the banks of the River Spay. Founded in 1869, the distillery produced its first 300 casks of whisky in 1887. The complex Cragganmore 12 Year Old delivers layer upon layer of flavour and ends with a smoky finish. As a true Scotch whisky, Cragganmore 12 Year Old must mature in an oak cask. The oak caramelizes the whisky while adding sweetness and colour, and imbuing it with complexity, fragrance, and fruitiness.

Serve the Cragganmore 12 Year Old in a tumbler on the rocks, in a tulip glass, or add a splash of water to unleash the hidden facets of this whisky. Sweet rich foods like lobster and pork are excellent pairing options. One sip and the herbs, flowers, honey, peat, and vanilla of Scotland will dance on your tongue.
