You will like to know that…
The story of Chivas Brothers begins in the mid-nineteenth century, in the shop of the James and John Chivas brothers in Aberdeen. The two sold products that were unobtainable for the period, such as exotic spices, coffee, tea, wine and, of course, whisky. James understands that it is on the latter product that one must focus and, together with his son Alexander, begins to mix the different distillates, especially the more aged ones, to obtain powerful but elegant blends.
In 1909, Chivas launched Chivas Regal, a blend of the best Scotch whiskies aged for at least 25 years. The aromas of this whisky include notes of orange, chocolate and marzipan, with touches of malt, smoke and butter making it both sweet and salty. In the mouth it reveals refined and soft, warm and persistent.
In 2010, Chivas Regal 25 Years was awarded 95/100 points by Jim Murray's Bible Whisky.
