You will like to know that…
The master blenders of the distillery are responsible for the success of George Ballantine and Son whiskies: there were only 5 in the history of the distillery, and they are the only ones who know and pass on the recipe of this blended scotch Whisky, which consists of over 40 different cereals and malts.
With its rich, soft fragrance and taste reminiscent of honey, vanilla and milk chocolate, this whisky is unique.
The bottle bears the flag of the company, reminiscent of the Scottish flag and the 4 elements needed to make the whisky: Earth, fire, water and air.
Also unique is the shape of the bottle, simply rectangular to be easily hidden in cases where alcohol dealers were active at the time of the ban.

Description of Ballantine's
Ballantine's
TASTING NOTES:
- Colour: Ballantine's has a light but warm golden hue.
- Aroma: Heather, honey, and just a touch of spice.
- Taste: Complex, soft, and slightly sweet, with a hint of vanilla, along with notes of milk chocolate and red toffee apple. A fresh, floral, and well-rounded warm finish leads you to take the next sip.
PRODUCER: Ballantine's is part of Pernod Ricard, within its prestigious Chivas Brothers whisky portfolio. The Ballantine's brand has come a long way, from its creation in Edinburgh by farmer's-son-turned-shopkeeper George Ballantine in 1827, to being globally-renowned and the best-selling whisky in Europe.
COUNTRY: Scotland
PRODUCTION DETAILS: Ballantine's has remained faithful to its original recipe, the ‘Finest', since 1910; as smooth and easy-drinking a blended whisky today as it ever was. That recipe brings together no less than fifty single malts, mostly from Miltonduff and Glenburgie, with four single grain whiskies. Ballantine's isn't known as ‘the spirit of the gods' for nothing. You can't go wrong with a classic ‘Finest and Cola', but why not branch out and try Ballantine's in a Maple Fashioned, a gorgeous Canadian twist on an Old Fashioned, using Ballantine's , a teaspoon of maple syrup, and an orange twist, on the rocks.

The Producer
George Ballantine and Son

Ballantine's is one of the most popular brands of Blended Scotch Whiskies, the second best selling in the world. The blend at the base of the brand's products is composed of 50 Single Malts - of which the "soul" are those coming from the Miltonduff and Glenburgie distilleries - and 4 Grain Whiskies, which together create a quality and extremely versatile drink.
More about the Producer
