PRODUCTION DETAILS: To legally be a Scotch, the whisky must be distilled in Scotland. Ballantine's has several distilleries in Scotland. The process for making this beverage begins with distilling a variety of blended grains. As a blended whisky, several whiskeys are mixed together to create this beverage. Later, the liquid must age for a minimum of three years in oak barrels or casks before it is bottled. At this point, it stops maturing. For this reason, there is no reason for customers to try bottle-aging the beverage further-- it just won't work.
