The recipe for George Ballantine and Son is the company's oldest recipe, created in 1910. This Blended Whisky consists of over 40 different malts and cereals from different parts of Scotland, carefully selected by George Ballantine and Son Master Distiller.
A high quality Whisky requires an equally refined bottle. The bottle bears the Scottish flag and represents the four essential elements for the production of Whisky: the soil from which the barley comes; the pure water coming from the rivers that flow near the distillery; the fire necessary for still distillation; the air that allows the Whisky to breathe in the barrel.
On the bottle we also find the sentence "Amicus Humani Generis", - "friend of mankind", - because a friend, just like Ballantine's, never disappoints you.
