Kudu Plains Chenin Blanc (Chenin)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: Pale gold with green glints.
- Nose: A tempting bouquet of stone fruit, citrus, floral notes, and a bit of fennel.
- Mouth: A pleasant and summery white wine with balanced acidity and tropical notes of ripe juicy melon, peach, grapefruit zest, sweet honey, and crisp green apple. The finish is medium-long with gentle tannins and a buttery texture.

VINEYARD: Kudu Plains. Located in Paarl, South Africa, Kudu Plains is named after the kudu antelope that roams throughout this part of the world. Paarl has been a major wine-producing area since the French arrived in the 1600s. The long winemaking heritage translates into exceptional wines. The region is near the Atlantic Ocean, offering cool sea breezes. The stark temperature difference between day and night, combined with the high annual rainfall, leads to consistently flavourful grapes and sophisticated wines.
GRAPES: Chenin Blanc Colombard
AGEING: A relatively young wine.
PREPARATION: Kudu Plains Winery offers on a limited range of wines in order to focus on quality production. Contains sulphites.
PAIRING: Can be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif, or paired with chicken, creamy pasta salads, spicy cuisine, fish and other seafood, or goat cheese.
