Bouchard Finlayson Hannibal 2005 (Mourvedre, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Barbera and Shiraz)

The winery represents the hallmark of Bouchard Finlayson, where tradition is felt in the construction of the winery and in the buildings that make up the whole farm. Peter Finlayson's passion is expressed in its unique range of wines descriptions. It was during a tasting of wines from the 2006 vintage was born when Tête de Cuvée, the taste of a mixture of barrels which gave rise to one of the best wines made since then in the cellar. Each component of this wine is produced separately. Once they arrive at the winery is allowed to ferment them in stainless steel tanks with daily pumping once or twice. After being pressed, they are transferred to the barrels to let them complete their malolactic fermentation. Subsequently combinations are made with different varieties of grapes to see the percentage and blending is the most suitable. Once the proper mixture is obtained wine is transferred again mixed deposits. Finally it is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, to be filtered and finally bottled.

I bought it in Uvinum, of course.
The Bouchard Finlayson wine is of a red ruby colour, having reddish brown edges. Toasty and tobacco aromas. It tasted like wine.

I drank with my best friend.
Cherry blossom colour, nearly opaque. It disclosed a very nice smell of white roses. Fabulous and fresh.
I enjoyed it with a beef dish.
