Maetierra

The grapes used to make Maetierra´s wines are grown in Finca Maetierra, which is located in Calahorra, a municipality that grows 150 hectares of different varieties. Maetierra has opted for modern plantations in a trellis formation, which are harvested mechanically at night when the temperature is the lowest, as the grapes are picked in the last weeks of August.

Tasting:
Straw yellow, bright and clean. The nose is an explosion of fruit (peach, muscat, pineapple, passion fruit). The palate remains very fruity, dense, glyceric and balanced. Long and generous aftertaste, leaving a long trail of tropical memories.
Pairing:
Accompanying rice, vegetables and pasta, as well as foie gras, baked fish and grilled seafood, and is also excellent as an aperitif. Recommended also with salmon and goat cheese.

I bought the Libalis Blanco in the wine cellar.
It had a very shutdown colour. Smells like honey. Curious this Castillo de Maetierra the wine had a slightly bitter end.
