Ànima Negra Viticultors

The winery ÀN Negra, located southeast of the island of Mallorca, makes its wines in the old "possessió" called Son Burguera. This building near Felanitx dates from the 13th century. From the beginning it counted with several units for wine making, which firstly aimed at supplying the region's inhabitants. The cultivation of the vineyard has continued existing until today and has helped shape the island's landscape. The vines are geographically integrated in the Mediterranean, making the wine a flagship product of their cuisine.

TASTING NOTES OF Anima Negra An 2 2015:
- View: Cherry red garnet tones.
- Nose: good intensity, ripe fruit flavored, Mediterranean notes, lactic and mineral touches, memories of scrub, gorse and toasted nice.
- Mouth: balanced, tasty, with good skeleton, sweet, noble, polished tenacity, fresh mouthfeel and balsamic end.

APPELLATION: Mallorca.

GRAPES: 65% Callet, 10% Fogoneu, 10% black Mantle, 15% Syrah.

AGEING: 13 months in French oak barrels and American oak.

WINE PAIRING: Red meat, poultry, game, sausages and semi-hard cheeses.

Has a strong colour. Combination of red fruit aromas and green pepper.The VT Mallorca tasted like wild berries.
It accompanied our desserts.

A very good wine How many followers I had in Mallorca. Not for drinking cold weather. Not too light, has good character, and can actually be drunk with meat or fish. Was slick about the availability and price.

It is the blend of the most important varieties of the island of Mallorca: Callet, fogoneu mantonegre and representing 85% of the composition of this wine. Aged in oak barrels for about 13 months gives a wine unique, balanced and elegant personality.
Grape Varieties: 65% Callet, 20% mantonegre and fogoneu, 15% syrah.
Pruning: Traditional glass.
Precipitation rates: 350-450-mm.
Preparation: Harvest in small boxes of 10 Kg Manual selection of grapes and fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks of 7,000 and 10,000 liters at a temperature of about 28 ° C.. It is macerated for about 17 days on average. Malolactic in stainless steel.
Aging: 13 months in barrels. By origin: 70% French and 30% American. Age: 35% new barrels and 65% with a maximum of three wines.
