Ànima Negra Àn 2005 (Callet, Fogoneu, Negra, Mantonegro and Mantonegre-fogoneu)
ÀN is a wine made from a specific vineyards; combining old plants (40-60 years) callet exist only in Mallorca, poor soil, mineral (iron oxides) on calcareous rocks in competition with fruit trees planted in the vineyards, to give a single character these plots and their wines.
Tasting notes:
dark ruby. Aromatically complex and expressive, snuff, wild raspberry, cherry and black olive, licorice and herbs. It offers a splendid bouquet of cedar, lavender, fresh herbs, violets and wild berries. Elegant, silky, intense and long on the palate.
Elaboration: Grape harvesting in small boxes of 10 kg Manual selection of grapes and fermentation at controlled temperature in cement tanks and wooden vats of 5,000 and 3,000 liters respectively.. It is macerated for about 25 days on average. Malolactic takes part in barrels (about 60%) and the rest in cement tanks.
Aging: 17meses in new French oak barrels of fine grain and very fine, low and middle toasted. Deposit 2 months before bottling.
BLEND: 95% Callet, 5% Mantonegro-Fogoneu.
Pruning: Traditional Glass.
Precipitation rates: 350-450mm.
PH: 3.7
TASTING NOTES:
This wine has a range of red, cherries and ruby color with flashes of violet color, its aroma is really expressive, it unfolds fragrances like raspberries, cherries, snuff and olives in the mouth offers an elegant, fruity flavor and prolonged .
VINEYARD: Bodegas An Negra
PREPARATION: Harvest in 10 kg boxes, after the manual selection of grapes and temperature-controlled fermentation in tanks made of concrete and wooden vats 5000 and 3000 liters results finally macerated for approximately 25 days.
Malolactic: A portion is performed in barrels (about 60%) and the rest in cement tanks.
STAY IN BARRELS: Ages about 1 year and a half in French oak barrels.
BREED: 95% Callet, 5% Mantonegro-Fogoneu.
The Winery
Ànima Negra Viticultors

The winery ÀN Negra, located southeast of the island of Mallorca, makes its wines in the old "possessió" called Son Burguera. This building near Felanitx dates from the 13th century. From the beginning it counted with several units for wine making, which firstly aimed at supplying the region's inhabitants. The cultivation of the vineyard has continued existing until today and has helped shape the island's landscape. The vines are geographically integrated in the Mediterranean, making the wine a flagship product of their cuisine.
