Abadía Retuerta Selección Especial 2009 (Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Graciano, Mazuelo, Merlot, Tempranillo and Syrah)

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: 2009 Abadía Retuerta Selección Especial is a red Pillory upper middle layer with garnet trim retaining a purplish reflection. Clean and bright.
  • Nose: Good intensity. Fresh ripe red fruit but not excessive extraction, accompanied by a marked lactic notes on a background of oak aging that is expressed in the form of vanilla and spice.
  • Palate: On the palate keeps this volume with a medium build. Integrated tannins and round.

APPELLATION: VT Castilla y León

VINEYARD: Abadía Retuerta

GRAPES: 75% Tempranillo, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot.

AGING: 18 months in barrels of French and American oak.

DEVELOPMENT: The must fermented and underwent malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

WINE PAIRING: Grilled red meats, pork, cured sausage.

TEMPERATURE: 15-17 º C

ALCOHOL: 14% Vol

A mí una buena RCP me gana, y la de este Selección Especial de la añada 2009 de Abadía Retuerta (una de mis bodegas favoritas) es excelente. Así que: a disfrutar de una(s) copa(s) de este gran vino de Castilla y León. ¡Salud! ;)

Gran intensidad de color, con una gran concentración superior incluso a la de anteriores añadas. Picota oscuro saturado. Nariz compleja y atractiva, con multitud de aromas florales principalmente de frutos rojos, bien ensamblados ya con la madera que aporta notas frescas de eucaliptos y más tarde torrefacción y caramelo. Tiene una entrada en boca suave y amable que da paso a un vino de gran riqueza aromática e increíble expresividad. Buen equilibrio entre alcohol, acidez y estructura con taninos de gran calidad muy finos y suaves. Muy persistente.

Intense dark garnet color, vivid and bright. The nose shows a great aromatic complexity, cherry liqueur notes with subtle nuances of dark chocolatetogether with a background of redfruit and berries like blackberries. The palate is warm and delicate, silkytannins overflow its refinement and roundness.
