The Smirnoff Company (Vodka)
Smirnoff Nordic is a beautiful pale blue vodka. The Nordic berries that are added during distillation are what gives that colour to the vodka, naturally. Smirnoff No. 21 is the recipe for the most classic Smirnoff vodka. Also known as Smirnoff Red, this is the triple-distilled corn-based vodka goes through ten rounds of filtration before it is deemed suitable for consumption. It is to this high-quality base product the specially selected Nordic berries are added which give this flavoured version its name.
In addition to the remarkable icy blue colour, the Nordic berry flavouring gives this Smirnoff vodka a light, fresh summer makeover. Drink it neat or on the rocks. Try it with lemonade, tonic, or with cranberry juice for a refreshing summer mix. It is better to use clear versions of mixers if you want the colour of Smirnoff Nordic Berries to shine in the final drink.
Smirnoff vodkas were first introduced to the world by Piotr Arseneevich Smirnov in Russia in 1864. Sadly, Piotr's son, Vladimir, had to flee the country during the Russian Revolution, finally setting up base in France and changing the spelling of the brand from Smirnov to Smirnoff. Despite the change in spelling, the quality that caused Smirnoff to be named Purveyor to the Imperial Court in 1886 did not change. Buying a bottle of Smirnoff is an easy way to ensure that you will be buying a quality product.
