On the beautiful hills of Siena, in the heart of Tuscany and more precisely in Montepulciano, this Poliziano Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2016 is born. In the composition, we find Prugnolo Gentile grapes (better known as Sangiovese), Colorino, Canaiolo and Merlot, all hand-picked. The excellence of this wine is confirmed by its presence in the list of the **100 best wines of 2019 according to Wine Spectator.

The winery Poliziano was founded in 1961, when Dino Carletti bought the first 22 hectares of vineyards in his homeland. Since then the estate has grown and the vineyards now cover 170 hectares. The name is a tribute to the poet Angelo Ambrogini (1454-1494), known as "Poliziano".

A well structured wine with an intense perfume of juicy, ripe fruit and a rich palate, with just the right amount of tannin

The grapes Blackthorn Gentile (a clone of Sangiovese), Canaiolo and Mammolo from vineyards with the best exposure and pedo-climatic optimum situation are devoted to the most attentive care during vinification and aging because they express the full potential of Montepulciano . The color is ruby red with slight orange hues, the bouquet is intense, delicate, with hints of violets and red fruit, the body robust, dry, slightly tannic.

Poliziano Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Sangiovese 2014
I am convinced that any meat will suit. It was given to us in a wine tasting stand of red.
Cherry red colour. This red tastes smoky. Caramel flavour.
