Caves Velhas Lagosta Vinho Verde Branco

TASTING NOTES:

• View: This wine is made out of green grapes, and the colour shows it. In the bottle or the glass, it has a light green hue. It may look slightly fizzy when poured in a glass.
• Nose: Fruity scents make up the primary aroma of this beverage. White grapes, apples, and light citrus notes are the most noticeable scents.
• Mouth: On the tongue, the fruity scents turn into wonderfully fruity flavours. Out of all the fruit scents mentioned, the citrus flavours are the ones that stand out most on the tongue. There is a slight bubbly fizz as well, giving this a light finish.

APPELLATION: Vinho Verde

VINEYARD: The Caves Velhas Vineyard was founded by Joao Camillo Alves in 1881. It lies in the Vinho Verde region of Portugal, which is famous for its Arinto, Loureiro, and Tragadura grapes, all of which are used in this wine's recipe.

GRAPES: Arinto, Loureiro, and Tragadura.

AGEING:

PREPARATION: Once the grapes are picked, they are destemmed before being pressed through the pneumatic pressing method. The grapes later go through a process of alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 15ºC.

PAIRING: This pairs best with fish and other light seafood dishes.

RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 6-8ºC
