Discover More About Our Products

The Torre del Falasco Corvina 2018 is a wine with exceptional aromas due to its smoothness and depth. It is the representative wine of Tower of Falasco, a winery located in the region that was known by the ancient Greek civilization as "the Valley of God" (now Valpantena, northeast of Verona) and that, over the years, has become a wine region par excellence.

The Corvina grapes used to make Torre del Falasco Corvina 2018 come from vineyards owned by an Italian wine cooperative. There, the fruits absorb the nutrients from very peculiar soils that give them unique characteristics. That is why this wine has an incredible acceptance among experts.

NAME OF ORIGIN: Veronese - Verona

VINEYARD/WINERY: Valpantena-Torre de Falasco. The wines of Torre del Falasco are the mainstays of this cooperative, located in the Valpantena, northeast of Verona. Known as the "Valley of God" of the ancient Greeks, this area is famous for its high-quality red wines, due in part to the soil, but also to the cool breeze that blows down the valley from the foothills of the Dolomites. The Cantina di Valpantena has been run by Luca Degani since 1995 and is today one of the best cooperatives in Italy. It produces high-quality fruit on 700 hectares of vineyards. Matt Thomson produces some Alpha Zeta wines here and has worked closely with them since 1999.REBSORTE(N) (N): Corvina

PRODUCTION: Only producers with excellent sites offer a pure wine of the Corvina variety. The Valpantena-Torre de Falasco winery has such vineyard sites: the vines grow here on chalk and limestone soils, which, due to their volcanic origin, provide a great deal of aroma. After a brief drying period, the Corvina grapes for this wine were destemmed and pressed before undergoing a gentle maceration and slow fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at temperatures between 22 and 28°C. The maceration lasted eight days. The wine is unfiltered to bring out its fresh, youthful characteristics.

FOOD PAIRING: Pasta Bolognese, Pizza Calzone, meatballs in tomato sauce, ratatouille but also with tapas, spicy snacks and simple meat and vegetable dishes.

- Bright and fresh in the glass, this wine opens with perfumes of juicy red cherries. The wine is youthful with a soft, approachable structure that is given depth by the partial drying process. It has good balance with lovely bitter cherry notes on the finish.
- 100% Corvina/Corvinone.

We order it in a supper with working colleagues.
The colour was between red and brown. This red tastes smoky . It has cute flavours.
The best wine in combination with grilled foie.
