PRODUCER: Casa Mariol. Winery located in the picturesque medieval town of Batea in the province of Tarragona. It was founded in 1945 by José Maria Vaquer Bes. They are engaged in the production of wine under the designation of origin of Terra Alta, sparkling wines and vermouth.
PRODUCTION DETAILS: Vermut Casa Mariol 1L is made from the variety of Macabeo grapes, harvested in the region of Terra Alta, in the province of Tarragona, southwest of Catalonia. The fruits are fermented with selected stainless steel tanks yeast at low temperatures. Then the resulting must is macerated with more than 150 herbs and spices from the massif of Matarraña, to give it that characteristic bouquet. Then the wine is dark with green walnuts and finally allowed to stand slightly in century-old casks, through the solera method. Best served chilled, at a temperature of 8 ° C, and with a small slice of orange.
