Martini Bianco 1L
You will like to know that…
The word Martini never fails to bring to mind the drink that carries the same name. But, besides the classic James Bond drink, there are a number of exciting vermouths on the market thanks to Martini & Rossi, an Italian company that specialized in aperitifs, vermouths, and sparkling wines. Founded in 1863, the brand started out by creating their Martini Rosso, the classic red vermouth.
In 1910, the recipe for Martini Rosso was tweaked to result in Martini Bianco. This younger sibling of Martini Rosso sometimes goes by the nickname "Bianchissimo" meaning "the whitest". The queen of vermouths is a white spirit that has a soft, complex flavour. Charcoal-filtered white wine is flavoured with herbs, floral spices, and vanilla to result in a rich and delicate vermouth that is perfect for enjoying with tonic water as an aperitif.
When you enter Casa Martini, the words "Volere è potere" are there to meet you. Meaning "Where there's a will, there's a way," this is the perfect motto for a brand that has been at the front of the vermouth market since the beginning. Since Martini Bianco is related to Martini Rosso, you can use it as a substitute in any recipe that calls for red. The final result will have a different colour, of course, but will also be a bit sweeter and more refreshing in the summer months.
