Bortolomiol Prosecco Miol Extra Dry (Glera)

Bortolomiol Prosecco Miol Extra Dry

  • View: This sparkling wine has a light yellow colour.
  • Nose: Light fruity scents make up this drink's aroma. White fruits stand out the most.
  • Mouth: The texture of this sparkling wine is soft and well-balanced, but still has a slight tickle on the tongue due to the bubbles. Like with the scent, there is a white-fruit flavour. The glass ends with a long finish.

VINEYARD: The grapes used in this beverage are grown in Veneto, Italy. This area is famous for its warm Mediterranean climate, which is perfect for growing Glera grapes, like the ones used in this recipe.

AGEING: As a white wine, this is not aged by the winery. Customers also do not need to age this before serving.

PREPARATION: The grapes used are most often picked between the second and third weeks of September each year. The skins of the grapes are taken off before the grapes are pressed. They are then fermented at a controlled temperature. As a sparkling wine, the alcohol goes through a foaming period of about two weeks. Finally, the wine fines for between one and two months before bottling. Both the foaming and fining are done via the Martinotti and Charmat methods.

PAIRING: This pairs best with spiced meats, most notably chicken, beef, and pork.

Bortolomiol Prosecco Miol Extra Dry

Excellent prosecco, not too gaseous, full of flavour, deceptively strong.

3 /5

Typical opacity of a Bortolomiol. Good yeast aromas enhance this wine's bouquet. This Bortolomiol Prosecco Miol Extra Dry had a pleasant taste of blackberries.
This sparkling would have been better with a softer meat.
A glass of Bortolomiol is a good friend maker.
We bought it at an online store that has closed meanwhile.
Someone recommended it to me, and I would also recommend it.
