- View: bright ruby red.
- Nose: ripe aromas, concentrated dark berries, delicate floral notes of lavender, violet and mocha.
- Mouth: rich touch, full mouth, notes of leather and spices.
APPELLATION: Uco Valley.
VINEYARD: Name: Vista Flores. 1100. Located Alluvial clay soil with large oval stones ground (80% sand, 10% clay, 10% silt).
AGEING: 12 months in oak barrels (35% new oak), 85% French oak, 15% American oak.
PREPARATION: maceration pre-fermentation cold for 5 days at 10 °C. Fermentation for 16 days. post-fermentation maceration 10 days.
PAIRING: veal, lamb and poultry.
In 1994, Nicolas and his team were confident they had identified the best lots for growing Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. First, Jose Galante, winemaker since 1975, bottling a small cut grapes from the oldest and most uniform batches of Uxmal vineyard (which later was called because of its location Agrelo vineyard in the district of Agrelo). 300 cases were divided wine Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon.More about the Winery
