How to serve
Celler del Roure their wanderings began in 1996 with 20Ha. of vineyards in the town of Moixent, expanding later with a new 40ha farm. in the valley of Les Alcusses (Serra Grossa), where it has located the new winery, with facilities that improve the old cellar (stainless steel tanks, pneumatic press ...).More about the Winery
An entry-level red from local varieties, the 2019 Vermell is a blend of 70% Garnacha Tintorera and 30% Mandó from vines planted in 1996. It fermented with part of full clusters in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in 2,600-liter clay tinajas (amphorae) for four months. The vinification is very light, closer to a rosé than a red. This is very primary, juicy like biting into a ripe bunch of grapes. The palate is still mineral and serious, with a dry, chalky finish, quite unusual at this price point. It has a little more structure and oomph than the 2018. Straightforward and easy to drink. 80,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2020.View more
Reviews of Vermell 2019
The Celler del Roure should be enjoyed after the meal.
The Garnacha tintorera has become my best friend.
This wine is of a very attractive cherry colour. Pleasant smell of tea. Perfect. Fresh, light and a delicious taste.
Great wine menu that would go well with a good meat.
