Maduresa 2019 (Cariñena, Monastrell and Mandó)
With a lot of essence and depth.
VINEYARD: 8 hectares of vineyards planted on trellis (double cordon royat and lira) at 550 meters above sea level in 1996 on sandy-loam soil. Organic fertilizer.
AGING: about 9 months in 5,000 liter casks and new and used 225 and 500 liter French oak barrels for up to six years.
PREPARATION: Manual harvest in boxes of 15 kilos with a selection table after destemming. Partial destemming and traditional maceration for about 15 days. Malolactic fermentation in barrels.

I was impressed by its colour. Smells good, licorice and violet aromas. It tasted ok.
Has a very cheerful colour. Strong scents of coffee and toffee. Quite powerful flavour.
It was too well-bodied for our meal.
A that doesn't need to be accompanied by food.
The Maduresa is just so good.
It is a purchase I made in the neighborhood Gourmet shop.
