Maduresa 2019 (Cariñena, Monastrell and Mandó)


With a lot of essence and depth.

VINEYARD: 8 hectares of vineyards planted on trellis (double cordon royat and lira) at 550 meters above sea level in 1996 on sandy-loam soil. Organic fertilizer.

AGING: about 9 months in 5,000 liter casks and new and used 225 and 500 liter French oak barrels for up to six years.

PREPARATION: Manual harvest in boxes of 15 kilos with a selection table after destemming. Partial destemming and traditional maceration for about 15 days. Malolactic fermentation in barrels.

GESCHMACKSNOTEN: Mit viel Essenz und Tiefe. WEINBERG: 8 Hektar Weinberge, die 1996 auf Spalier (Doppelkordon Royat und Lira) auf 550 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel auf sandigem Lehmboden gepflanzt wurden. Organischer Dünger. ALTERUNG: ca. 9 Monate in 5.000-Liter-Fässern und neuen und gebrauchten 225- und 500-Liter-Fässern aus französischer Eiche für bis zu sechs Jahre. VORBEREITUNG: Manuelle Ernte in Kisten mit 15 kg mit einer Auswahltabelle nach dem Destemming. Teilweise Destemming und traditionelle Mazeration für ca. 15 Tage. Malolaktische Gärung in Fässern.

Den är mörkt röd. Dominerande doft av jordgubbar. Det har en smak som påminner om bär.

En vin som kan kjøpes i kjøpesentre.
Kirsebær. Øverste laget. Først og fremst aromaer av kaffe , og toffee. Denne 2019 sammenlignet med tidligere årgangen, smakte ikke noe.

It is better not to pair this Cariñena with food, as otherwise its fabulous taste might not be appreciated adequately. The best company for Maduresa is a good conversation.
I was impressed by its colour. Smells good, licorice and violet aromas. It tasted ok.

Has a very cheerful colour. Strong scents of coffee and toffee. Quite powerful flavour.
It was too well-bodied for our meal.
