Description of Maduresa 2006

Maduresa 2006 (Cabernet Sauvignon, Monastrell, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Syrah and Mandó)

Maduresa is the first wine Celler del Roure and an interesting blend of grape varietals combined with international commanded a local variety almost extinct and that Paul Calatayud is getting back with genuine care and effort, as there were few strains in the area at the time that Paul began to study their potential.

Maduresa experienced also a very positive evolution from their first vintages. In 2001, the American Robert Parker gave a high mark (88 points) Maduresa, then an unknown and cheap wine (still wine 4 euros) that had just crossed the Atlantic. It was quite an accolade that has since been ratifying the author. Parker himself up note (93 points) two years later.

Very light flavour. It smells toasty.Do not know what had to taste like, but it was tasty.
I had it with a birthday cake.
My best friend had tried it and she recommended it to me.

It is better not to pair this Cariñena with food, as otherwise its fabulous taste might not be appreciated adequately. The best company for Maduresa is a good conversation.
I was impressed by its colour. Smells good, licorice and violet aromas. It tasted ok.

This 2011 was the recommended by a friends of us.
Has a very cheerful colour. Strong scents of coffee and toffee. Quite powerful flavour.
It was too well-bodied for our meal.
