Les Alcusses 2016 (Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha tintorera, Monastrell, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Syrah)


  • View: dark cherry red color, high layer, edging purple, clear and bright.
  • Nose: intense aroma of ripe black fruit, sweet spices (vanilla and cinnamon), sour cherries in liqueur, toasted and soft balsamic background scrubland.
  • Mouth: The palate is powerful, rich, tannin present but not annoying, correct acidity, slightly sweet.

APPELLATION: Valencia (Valencia, Spain).

VINEYARD: Celler of the Roure.

GRAPES: Monastrell (40%), Petit Verdot (15%), Syrah (15%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), Grenache shark (10%), Merlot (10%).

AGEING: 6 months in French oak barrels used.

PREPARATION: The preparation of this blend Mediterranean began with a manual harvest and selection in the cellar. After the complete stripping of the grape maceration takes 25 days. Subsequently, a fermentation takes place in stainless steel barrels.

WINE PAIRING: Perfect to combine with blue fish (sardines, bonito, tuna, mackerel), paella rice and dried meat, pasta, vegetable stews, pork and chicken.

A gift from a friend.
The Celler del Roure wine is of a red ruby colour, having reddish brown edges. The smell of violets was so strong that it seemed curious to me. It is the softest wine of Valencia.

My friends liked the Les Alcusses Celler del Roure.
The red and violet edges were visible for me. It disclosed a very nice smell of white roses. Such a tasty flavour with hints of chocolate.
We drank it just like that, without any food pairing.
