Description of Louro 2019
Louro 2019 (Godello and Treixadura)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: It has a bright yellow with green highlights.
- Nose: aromas marked detacan white and anise fruit. As well as notes of stone fruit, citrus touches, rosemary and tropical flavors.
- Mouth: The palate is perceived fresh with a generous balance and volume. bitter but pleasant finish.
APPELLATION: Valdeorras (Galicia, Spain).
VINEYARD: Rafael Palacios.
GRAPES: Godello and Treixadura.
AGEING: This wine is aged for 4 months on its lees in French oak foudres forest Normandy 3,500 liters.
PREPARATION: This delicious wine is made from grapes that come from vines 40 years old, from organic farming and traditional farming techniques that preserve the old terracing and avoid the use of herbicides. The result is a modern wine, but still preserves the tradition that characterizes it.
WINE PAIRING: Perfect to combine with octopus, shellfish and white fish.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 4-8 ° C

The Winery
Rafael Palacios
Rafael Palacios is the son of D. Jose Palacios Remondo (founder of Bodegas Palacios Remondo) and a passion for making white wines. After making his first target in the family winery, Plácet, decides to create his own winery in Galicia, in the Valley Bibei under the name of Valdeorras, where he finds some old vines godello, ideal for preparing its white refined which grows recovering traditional viticulture, without use of herbicides or synthetic treatments.
