Rafael Palacios As Sortes Val do Bibei 2017

Aroma of good intensity, with fine notes toasted in first plane that give step to a mature fruit and also mineral notes. In the palate half body, with good acidity, fresco, with some untuosidad, expression frutal correct and a remarkable end.

Rafael Palacios, brother of famous winemaker Alvaro Palacios in Priorat, in 2004 began making wine in Valdeorras. The age of the vines ranges from 7 to 91 years. As the parcels are organically modified. The As Sortes is bright, clean and complex and it is very different than other white wines from Valdeorras. In the nose we smell tones of yellow fruit, citrus and herbs accented by creamy accents and just a hint of smoke. The palate is medium-bodied with a very good acidity, full and spicy but fresh and supple at the same time. The finish is slightly salty and mineral and stays long in the mouth. are the As Sortes (only) up to 15 000 bottles produced and is highly recommended for those who are a little tired of Chardonnay. Very beautiful.

Its aromas of yellow stone fruit, citrus and tropical notes its and its pleasant floral aromas predominate over a markedly mineral background with slight toasted nuances, subtle sweet spices such as vanilla, and soft vegetables memories. The palate is intense. It has a fat and creamy texture with excellent acidity that refreshes and defined. very long and very persistent aftertaste with mineral notes in the end. Elegant, deep, a white wine with much to tell.

As Sortes 2013 , vinazo que descubrí en una cena en el Celler de Can Roca
A few days ago I was lucky enough to enjoy super dinner at the Celler de Can Roca. We take three different wines, and one was the 2013 As Sortes had already heard much. The 1st is that it is a wine to be decant. Tremendous difference after 45 minutes of opening. 3rd cup, much better than 1. It is a great wine with intense aromas, mineral and with good fruit. Has a very accurate, fresh, smooth and great acidity combined with dinner which we enjoyed. An elegant wine and certainly I reaffirm that I am a big fan of Godello. Alvaro Palacios very successful indeed. And my sincere congratulations to Celler de Can Roca because Uvinum is 35 euros but in the letter from Celler is 45 euros! more expensive only 28%. Many restaurants should learn from them: because their pricing strategy wines also allows you to enjoy a great dinner to allow for some more great wines. Thumbs up!
