Vintage 2003 After a very rainy and characterized by fairly cold autumn-winter, spring-summer 2003 will certainly be remembered as one of the warmest and driest in recent years. Surely the spring climatic conditions, marked by an absence of precipitation and mild temperatures, has fostered a good germination of all varieties, also slightly earlier than the average, followed by optimum conditions flowering and fruit setting. From June onwards, and throughout the summer, there have been for quite unusual conditions of very high temperatures and absolutely no rain. This led to an early ripening of berries, which already after mid-August, in the most precocious varieties showed very high sugar levels, the result of a kind of "self-concentration" natural. It also verified a slight decline in production due to water shortages, especially where it was not possible to resort to the practice of drip irrigation. The trend is kept stable so even during the harvest period and allowed to wait for the best time to harvest, thus avoiding to run any of the grapes corruption risks. In addition, the thermal differential between day and night, has allowed the grapes to complete in the best way the ripening processes, allowing to obtain products with excellent colors and excellent structure. Tignanello Deep ruby ​​red varietal aromas with a strong expressiveness, with large red fruit, raspberry and licorice. On the palate the wine, although still very young, balanced, fine, with smooth tannins, good acidity, sapidit and mineral notes that give it a long, lingering finish.

Antinori Tignanello 2003

Very intense ruby red colour. Nicely expressed varietal aromas with hints of black berry fruit. The palate is weighty, dense and vibrant with complex structure thanks to support of the acidity. Long and lingering with hints of chocolate, coffee and marmalade in the aftertaste. The beautifully handled tannin from the wine and wood blend making Tignanello a very complex, stylish and sophisticated wine.

Tignanello 2013
- An intense ruby red in colour with purple highlights, the 2013 Tignanello shows a nose of great red fruit intensity along with highly pleasurable notes of vanilla, chocolate, and leather from the well balanced contribution and fusion of the aromas of the oak.
- The spicy and balsamic sensations which give additional complexity are also quite important. The wine is ample and enveloping on the palate with supple tannins and a savoury freshness which fully respects the character and personality of the Sangiovese grape.
- The balance between acidity and tannins is excellent, and the finish and aftertaste are of a lovely length and persistence.

- The 2012 Tignanello is an intense ruby red in colour with purple highlights. The wine is potent and complex on the nose with spicy notes which mingle with aromas of red fruit, smoke, and balsamic sensations; cherries, plums, liquorice, and rosemary are additionally felt. The flavors are mouth- filling and elegant with much volume and an excellent balance in the texture, and the oak is perfectly fused in the spicy and fruity finish and aftertaste.
