Antinori Tignanello 2001

Very intense ruby red colour. Nicely expressed varietal aromas with hints of black berry fruit. The palate is weighty, dense and vibrant with complex structure thanks to support of the acidity. Long and lingering with hints of chocolate, coffee and marmalade in the aftertaste. The beautifully handled tannin from the wine and wood blend making Tignanello a very complex, stylish and sophisticated wine.

TASTING NOTES OF Marchesi Antinori Tignanello 2001:
-View: Intense ruby ​​red hue.
-Nose: Powerful and expressive fragrance of liquorice, red fruits and raspberries.
-Mouth: fine and structured, with acidic and salty notes, but well balanced tannins.
APPELLATION: Tuscany, Italy.
UVA: Sangiovese (80%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%).
VINEYARD: Antinori.

AGEING: Fourteen months in French oak barrels and twelve months bottled conditioned rooms.
PREPARATION: It starts with a delicate maceration to avoid astringency in grapes. The fermentation was carried out in wooden vats with a temperature below 30 °C. Finally, the malolactic fermentation takes place in new barrels so they can be aged in French oak barrels.

Tignanello 2013
- An intense ruby red in colour with purple highlights, the 2013 Tignanello shows a nose of great red fruit intensity along with highly pleasurable notes of vanilla, chocolate, and leather from the well balanced contribution and fusion of the aromas of the oak.
- The spicy and balsamic sensations which give additional complexity are also quite important. The wine is ample and enveloping on the palate with supple tannins and a savoury freshness which fully respects the character and personality of the Sangiovese grape.
- The balance between acidity and tannins is excellent, and the finish and aftertaste are of a lovely length and persistence.

- The 2012 Tignanello is an intense ruby red in colour with purple highlights. The wine is potent and complex on the nose with spicy notes which mingle with aromas of red fruit, smoke, and balsamic sensations; cherries, plums, liquorice, and rosemary are additionally felt. The flavors are mouth- filling and elegant with much volume and an excellent balance in the texture, and the oak is perfectly fused in the spicy and fruity finish and aftertaste.
