Leonardo da Vinci Santo Ippolito 2008

Purple-red in colour, with good depth and 'legs' indicating a certain structure. Intense red fruit perfumes fuse with spicy, vanilla, black pepper and toasty oak. The immediate impact in the mouth is soft but incisive and savory. After the initial ripeness, the structure of the wine comes to the fore, with tannin acidity and alcohol all perfectly balanced. Good length, with spicy flavours on the elegant finish.

Mixture of red and brown colour. Smells a lot of oak.Cool and pleasant.
It's better not to pair it and drink it alone.
We tested this Cantine Leonardo da Vinci with my club mates.

The other micro-zone is called to S. Ippolito and is rich in clay soils, particularly suitable for the cultivation of grapes as Merlot and Syrah. Combine these varieties it represents a completely new choice for an area used to accommodate only varieties of Tuscan tradition, but a choice that has proven successful. The elegance and finesse of Merlot assembled to the sweet and spicy scents of Syrah have allowed an ideal synthesis in the wine that took shape there.

Reviews about Leonardo da Vinci Santo Ippolito 2017

From the careful selection of the best grapes grown and harvested in our vineyards, a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah. This blend integrates into a great harmonious wine with the highest qualities of consistency, balance and aroma integrity of each variety. The highest expression of the best red grapes of the Vinci area.
