Brancaia Il Blu Rosso 2015 (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese)
TASTING NOTES OF Brancaia Il Blu Rosso 2015:
- View: intense ruby red muyu.
- Nose: aromas of red fruit and nice touches of greenery, a spicy finish of black pepper and cloves.
- Mouth: harmonious and round with defined tannins and hints of chocolate.
GRAPES: Sangiovese 50%, Merlot 45%, Cabernet Sauvignon 5%.
AGING 20 months in barrels (2/3 and 1/3 used again).
PAIRING: risotto with meat sauce, grilled roast beef, blue cheese.
TEMPERATURE: 18-20 °C
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14.5%
It was in 1981 when the Swiss couple Brigitte and Bruno Widmer fell in love with the abandoned Brancaia estate (Castellina in Chianti).More about the Winery
