Bodegas y viñedos Pintia

In 1995 and 1996 we started to think of a new winery and in the locations in Spain where it could be set up. Castilla y León has a large river, the Duero, which is where our two existing wineries, Vega Sicilia and Alion are located, and it flows into another great wine-producing region, Oporto....

Pintia 2014

The 2008 Pintia has a fragrant bouquet with scents of dark plum, mulberry and fresh cherry, the new oak neatly folded into the fruit profile. The palate is medium-bodied with a fleshy, silky smooth entry. The tannins here are very fine with dark cherries, a touch of sloe and spices that become more pronounced toward the focused finish.

One of the very best wines from Toro. In 2001, first marketed by Pintia, a part of the house Vega Sicilia. Already from the first year this wine scored higher in almost all renowned wijncitici, including Robert Parker. Pintia is limited available because the only wine made of grapes from old vines. 18 months aged in French (75%) and American (25%) oak. 2014 was a slightly more mature year than in 2013 so the wine is slightly more powerful but also very aromatic, expressive and open, fairly typical for a Toro. Pintia The 2014 has a deep red full-bodied, complex wine. Ripe black fruit, mineral, "roasted tones", spice and a long, impressive finish. The Pintia 2014 bouquet is very Bordeaux-like with black instead of red fruit, nice minerality and hints of cedar and graphite. The palate is medium-bodied with plump, round tannins, firm structure and high precision in the finish. This is what you call a "classic" Pintia but anyway this wine is also only marketed if this summit.

The small group of Vega Sicilia but one of the greats of Toro. Making the best of native grapes and good breeding, they produced an elegant wine within the austerity that gives the region to maintain the characteristics typical of the area. We find some fine tannins accompanied with aromas of fresh fruit and an attempt to escape the over-ripening and liqueur aromas. The palate is powerful, intense and persistent with a long finish. Designed to share great moments together meats and stews.

Two sealings for a vintage early maturing showing an excellent and elegant mature rich aroma and excellent harmony of sensations. Pintia powerful and structured that does not neglect finesse and delicacy. Sweet and noble tannic expression is embraced by good acidity. After his appearance with the 2001 vintage and historic enviable lacres Pintia continues to honor its raison d'etre and home showing that it is not a one day if not a growing tree. A wine that combines power and elegance demonstrating that the rusticity of Toro although worked can become fineness which undoubtedly has been achieved with the help of temperature control during fermentation and the excellent work done with cold maceration . A wine that subtle complexity kindness elegance expression and character of the area are the attributes that best define. A wine that has already become a reference that all look and the many whose positioning of style and quality compared comes to assume a breath of fresh air in the market. Two sealings for wine growing production and price.
