Reviews of other vintages of Numanthia 200802005020141

Wine Spectator magazine has announced their Top 100 wines of 2009 and this Numanthia Termes 2005 was in 2nd position! he major position for a spanish wine.

About Numanthia-Termes Toro 2005, Wine Spectator says:This bodega helped transform the red wines of Spain's Toro region from rustic to opulent, with its focus on low-yielding, old-vine Tinto de Toro (the local variation of Tempranillo) and aging in new French oak barrels. Founded in 1998 by the Eguren family of Rioja, Numanthia-Termes was sold in 2008 to luxury giant Moët-Hennessy Louis Vuitton LVMH. The lowest-priced, largest-production of the bodega's three cuvées, Termes has earned outstanding scores in every vintage made except 2003. Reflecting the ripe vintage, the 2005 is a powerful yet balanced red. ".

A wine that's on my wish-list waiting tasting it soon!

2nd position in Top 100 Wine Spectator of 2009

We drank it just like that, without any food pairing. I drank it with a business client.
Its intense colour attracted me. The smell was strong and I liked it. Flavours are well balanced.
