Donnafugata Mille e Una Notte Terre Siciliane 2014 (Nero D'Avola, Nerello Mascalese, Petit Verdot and Syrah)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: Ruby red.
- Nose: Bouquet full and intense, with fruity notes of blackberry and plum, chocolate and balsamic and spicy hints (liquorice).
- Mouth: Soft and enveloping, with very fine tannins. Final long and tasty.
DENOMINATION OF ORIGIN: Terre Siciliane
VINEYARD: Donnafugata
GRAPES: Nero d'Avola, Petit Verdot, Syrah, other grapes.
AGING: 14 months in new French oak barrels; at least 24 months in the bottle.
PREPARATION: Fermentation in steel, with maceration on the skins for 14 days at a temperature of 28 ° -30 ° C.
MATCHING: Pasta with pork sauce, roasts, lamb, fillet.
TEMPERATURE: 18ºC

Wonderful cherry colour and high layer. The outstanding flavour is of red roses, without any doubt.. It reveals a kind of salty aftertaste.
