Tenuta Ulisse Passerina 2018

The Terre di Chieti Passerina of Ulysses Seal, born in the heart of the wine scene abruzzese.È produced entirely by Passerina grapes selected and harvested by expert hands at the beginning of September. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and inerted thermoregulated at a controlled temperature of 11ºC. The wine is aged first in stainless steel tanks and then for a further 3 months in bottiglia.Questo Passerina is characterized by a pale straw yellow color with greenish hues. The nose opens with a bouquet of ripe fruits such as peach, apricot and grapefruit, enhanced with floral notes of wisteria and linden. The taste is pleasantly fresh, stylish and ideal minerale.È aging in combination with all fish dishes, especially spaghetti with seafood and raw fish. Perfect to accompany fresh cheeses.

The white grape Passerina is very widespread in central Italy. It is an indigenous grapevine of Greek origin and it was given the name golden grape on account of its prestigious nature. This vine was widely dropped during the 1960s, however in the last decade it has seen an inversion in this trend and has awaken the interest of many wine producers and enthusiasts.

I tried it on a wine tasting of Passerina wines.
Has a very cheerful colour. Perfume of white flowers: jasmine, lilies .... Tasty, the ripe fruit with a pleasant presence.
We enjoyed with a delicious Chinese rice.
