You will like to know that…
Tequila Sierra Silver flies the Mexican flag and is considered the spearhead of this Jalisco distillery, which has been in operation for several decades. Wherever there is the bottle with the hat, there will certainly be the scent of high quality tequila, the taste of a distillate renowned throughout the world and recognized among the best internationally.
If the scent promises so much, the taste is certainly no less in this tequila with its full and intense flavour. It is a mature and clear distillate, whose aroma comes with great character. From the first taste, you can feel a pleasant sense of freshness. The hints of ripe fruit, selected from organic cultivations, are very strong. A hint of hot chilli pepper, which does not exceed and yet creeps in with great skill. Evident is the presence of the precious blue agave, which accompanies all the way. The notes of green apple are the frame, which gives flavour and freshness. In the finish, you can feel the hints of pineapple not yet ripe, capable of giving a balanced sense of acidity, pleasant and harmonious at the same time. Decidedly exuberant on the whole and of great structure and body.
To be drunk cold, as part of summer cocktails and full of vivacity. Perfect for cheering up, in parties based on music and good company.

PRODUCTION DETAILS: Sierra Silver is a tequila "reposada", that is matured some months before being bottled. Mexico, we know, is the chosen land of this distillate that has its roots in its history. It is known that as early as the 16th century the Spaniards had begun its production, revisiting an alcoholic beverage produced by the ancient Aztecas, called "ixtac octli", roughly translated as a white liqueur. Today, as then, the "jimadoires", the cultivators of the agave azul Weber that supplies the raw material, wait up to 10 years for the plant to become mature and rich in sugar, ready to be harvested. Later, with a machete called "coa" they extract the heart of the plant, the "piña", and bake it for many hours, then press it with a heavy millstone and extract the "aguamiel", the raw tequila. This sweetish juice is then fermented and then distilled in a copper still. In this way a fresh and pleasant taste is obtained. Sierra Silver has won several international awards, such as the gold medal in the 2008 Tequila Challenge, or the silver medal in the same competition in 2016. Excellent to drink well chilled with a little lemon and salt, it is the ideal ingredient for the preparation of exotic long drinks.
