The 18-month tequila Olmeca Reposado is dedicated to the Olmecs who lived long before the Mayas in Mexico. According to legend, the gods of the Olmec people were already drinking the nectar of the blue agave five centuries before the peak of Mayan culture.
This is why the bottle of tequila Olmeca Reposado is decorated with ancient symbols and engravings. The Olmeca Reposado is made from blue agave, hand-picked. It is distilled in small copper stills and the distillate is then matured for 18 months in oak barrels that have previously contained bourbon.

PRODUCER: Olmeca Tequila
PRODUCTION DETAILS: This delicious and award-winning tequila is produced in the Highlands of Central Mexico, and is not blended but is crafted using 100% hand-picked blue agave plants. These are roasted in brick ovens, prior to double-distillation in small-batch copper pot stills. The spirit then rests in former whiskey barrels for six to eight months, which lends a complementary spicy character to the citrussy sweetness of this beloved tequila. Whether alone, with lime, or in a memorable cocktail, you'll find Olmeca Reposado lip-smackingly more-ish.
Owned by the Pernod Ricard Group, Olmeca Tequila is a Mexican tequila from the Los Altos region, which is the Highlands of the Mexican State of Jalisco. Among other things, this region is famous for its tequila production. The bright red volcanic soil nourishes the blue agave while its high mineral content helps to encourage the growth of sugar-rich agave plants.More about the Winery
