Casamigos started out as a creation made between friends. George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman were hunting for a tequila that would taste so good and be so smooth that there would be no need for the classic accompaniment of lime and salt. After years of working with their master distiller in Jalisco, Mexico, they found the perfect recipe. This remained a private collection, made for these friends to enjoy at home with their friends and family. That is, until now.
From among the award-winning range of products produced by Casamigos, why not state with the foundation: Casamigos Tequila Blanco? Only fully-mature blue Weber agave hearts grown in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico are allowed to take part in the production of this exquisite tequila. The premium treatment does not end there. The agave is oven-roasted for 72 hours, fermented for 80 hours, and allowed to rest for two months before bottling. All of these exceed the treatment given most commercial tequilas.
All of this hard work pays off in the form of a small-batch, ultra-premium tequila that is crystal clear and exceptionally smooth. This is definitely a tequila that those tequila lovers out there need to try. Full-bodied and balanced, this takes tequila out of the world of shots and brings it into the world of spirits to be sipped and savoured.
