Feudi di San Gregorio Taurasi 2008

Dress ruby red color and bouquet with flavors of wild cherry, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and anise. On the palate it is full and balanced, sweet and soft tannins that give it a good aromatic persistence. Excellent wine when it accompanies dishes with white meats or grilled rouhes.
The maceration and fermentation were both in place of steel tanks over a period of 3 weeks. Then comes the aging phase in oak barrels for at least 18 months followed by a ripening phase in subsequent bottle 9 months.
At Taurasi, Aglianico has found its ideal territory - intact volcanic impenetrable - giving life to a full, balanced wine. great tradition of variety, it is the noblest and most important grape of southern Italy. This variety of grapes are born a large number of great Italian red wines.

Noblest expression of Aglianico, this wine takes its name from the place of origin of the grapes: the Taurasi zone. The color is ruby red with garnet. The nose is intense and complex, with aromas ranging from ripe red fruit and spicy cinnamon, nutmeg and anise. The palate is soft and balanced, supported by a good freshness that makes it a wine for long aging.

The best pairing would have been fish. With snobby guys.
Bright ruby red colour with reddish brown highlights. Concentrated aroma of red fruit jam. A surprisingly fresh wine.
