Rustenberg Stellenbosch John X Merriman 2016 (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot)
- View: Dark red, almost purple, with some sparkles.
- Nose: The aroma is powerful but elegant, evoking the forest for the fruits perceived. The fund is spicy.
- Mouth: somewhat dry, but very powerful, with a hint of cherry quite remarkable. It has a long and vibrant refreshing end.
VINEYARD: Rustenberg Wines.
GRAPES: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot.
AGEING: 20 months in French oak barrels.
PREPARATION: grapes between February and March, which are then selected and despalillarlas are collected. Cold maceration occurs for about 7 days before taking it obtained stainless steel tanks, where it will stay a few weeks. The liquid then French oak, where it shall attach for about 20 months is transported. Finally, it clarified, filtered and bottled.
PAIRING: Hunting, sausages, some pasta and rice, Japanese dishes.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18 °C
