I had it between meals. The first time I drank it with people from Overgaauw.
Typical opacity of a Overgaauw. It mainly smells like chocolate. I was surprised by its salty notes, but enjoyed it.

Overgaauw Cape Vintage Port 1994

Has a very cheerful colour. Strong aromas of oak and cedar. I noticed The 1994 a little astringent.
It was not right with the meat.
This time I shared it with two couples .

Overgaauw Cape Vintage Port 1998
Brought by a friend and I opened it with him.
It has a very nice colour. In this Overgaauw predominate aromas of berries and red fruits . Very nice roasted flavours.
Did not match with food.

I do not recommend pairing this sweet of Overgaauw with meat. It was part of a Corporate gift.
Nice colour. As many 1995, it was a little rough.
