Vodka production has spread all over the world. Although Spanish vodkas are much less known, in the country there are more and more vodka producers who stand out for their hard work and effort.
And all this is due to the increase in sales in this market since, although less than in other countries, consumption of vodka in Spain has increased by 86% since 1990. The Baltic region, the Nordic countries and Poland produce 70% of all European vodka, but Spain is not far behind.
One of the Spanish vodkas that came out recently was Siderit, the Spanish distillery that manufactures gin and vodka in Cantabria, in an artisan way. His Vodka Siderit Lactée is very acclaimed and has already been awarded a few years ago with the gold medal in the World Spirit Competition of San Francisco.
Their Spanish vodka is made from milk and, after fermenting, it is distilled five times what is equivalent to make about seven or eight simple distillations. And in the end, it has around 40 distillations. Siderit distillery has its origin in 2013 and research, exclusivity, modernity and distinction are its principles.
Other outstanding vodkas of Spain are VLC, Valencian, of course, although produced in a distillery of Granada. And the Spagnolo, a Spanish premium vodka, which is produced by Santa Cruz Distilleries in the Canary Islands. On the other hand, Black Jack Vodka, made in Spain, stands out for its excellent value for money. It is colourless, with a slight aroma of black pepper and lemon, and it tastes like citrus. It is produced by New Lidesport, which is dedicated to the production and distribution of liquors and beverages.
While Level Vodka Caramel brings a touch of fantastic sweetness. This caramel vodka is a liqueur based on Vodka, made by the Teichenné brand. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif, with or without ice. This Spanish vodka stands out for its intense aroma with notes of caramel, vanilla and chocolate and has a sweet-acidic flavour, with a creamy-sweet aftertaste.
